Three great techniques for teamwork, based on the Radical Collaboration method.

There are many ways to address conflict and use it as an opportunity to build stronger relationships - both professionally and in our private lives. Today we talk about Jim Tamm’s Radical Collaboration method  that emphasises trust, respect, and open communication to create high-performing teams.

Here are three techniques based on RC method for better teamwork:

  • Building Mutual Respect
Radical collaboration starts with respect for diverse perspectives. Research shows that teams with mutual respect are 50% more likely to report higher collaboration.

  • Creating a Safe Environment for Conflict
Healthy conflict is essential for innovation. Encouraging healthy conflict leads to 25% better decision-making and more creative solutions.

  • Owning Your Part
Radical collaboration emphasises personal responsibility. Team members should avoid finger-pointing and those with high accountability experience 30% higher productivity.

Another concept and way of work that looks pretty obvious but not necessarily used on time. Much like couples seeking therapy as a last resort, most teams decide to seek coach facilitation when the dynamic has already become very dysfunctional.

So when is a good time for a team to ask for team coaching?
Excellent question, here is my take on it…
