Sometimes the older we get,
the harder it is to pursue our connection with purpose.

​As we get older, connecting with our purpose can become increasingly difficult.
It is not because the guidance to our passions and purpose has suddenly disappeared. It is more about all the clutter we have accumulated on top of that precious inner compass.

So let us start the decluttering process:

• Societal expectations: From career success to financial security - often shifts our focus away from what truly fulfils us. As a society, we have somehow convinced ourselves that everyone pursuing a purpose is also successful.
• Risk and comfort: It is a game of give and take - before we can receive, we must give away: comfort, beliefs, energy, time. It is often hard to admit but we are often just comfortable where we are.
• Social media ‘wisdom’: By far the most toxic one - from ‘quit your 9-5’ or ‘here’s how to make 1 mill’ or ‘tips to go viral’ - somehow with these hooks and bite-size advices, we have tricked ourselves into believing that purpose is about making tons of money and quitting our jobs.
  
  

There is one thing that is truly valuable in that pursuit: a sense of peace, and a sense of freedom. We are also living in a society that rewards perfection and pursuing our purpose will change that.
