Well, it is natural for me to be an advocate for that as my own career journey has been non-linear. But during my years in recruitment, I have also seen that people with diverse experience are also far more adaptive, open-minded and used to getting things done.
I wanted to write this because again very often the question that surfaces in career coaching especially with young people is - how do I know I am making the right choice? And the thing is, there is so much value in pursuing different career paths that our society often fails to acknowledge and celebrate. So if you are out there wondering if this or that would ‘fit’ the mold of your development - just know it is time to break that pattern and make one of your own liking.
