Building a healthier life: small consistent actions lead big results.

We have all been there - New Year, New Me. We make the resolutions, we feel empowered and we actually start taking actions on them. We do keep our commitment and consistency for a good time. Yet, at some point the routine falls off the track and we find ourselves missing a day or two from our plan. Before we spiral into the judgment circle - this is normal!

All change journeys - especially the ones about building a better life for ourselves - find a few detours here and there. Building a new life does not happen overnight but also the effort we have invested does not disappear simply because we lost track. Here is a little trick to use:

Keep the goals big and inspiring, but the actions small and manageable.

What do we mean by that?

While the dream and the goal may be - to have quality sleep every night, to wake up energized and rested for at least 6 months; the daily actions can be small such as - wake up at 06:00 no matter what, so we get tired or leaving the phone in the other room to avoid scrolling.

Research shows that habit formation is key to lasting change, with small steps being more effective than overwhelming ourselves with large, unsustainable goals (Lally et al., 2010).

It’s not about perfection; it’s about progress. When we commit to daily actions, no matter how small, we create a solid foundation for a healthier body, mind, and spirit.

Building a healthier life is a journey, and every step, no matter how tiny, brings us closer to our goals.

Once I start, however, I also start wondering if it is all really worth it.
This is very normal. We need a big and personal WHY.
